[05.18.10] - Acquisition Almac Machine Works Canada

On May 17, 2010, a newly formed subsidiary of Bradken, Inc. entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement, dated as of May 17, 2010, with Almac Machine Works Ltd., an Alberta corporation.

Almac is headquartered in Edmonton, Canada and manufactures and supplies a range of products and services primarily in the Canadian oil sands, mining, conventional oil and gas and paper markets. Almac employs approximately 220 people and approximately 80% of its business comes from the manufacture and supply of Chromium Carbide Overlay piping systems for the Alberta oil sands region.
