[12.19.09] - Nuclear & Military Castings Upgrade Capability at Bradken Atlas (update)
Bradken’s foundry in Chehalis, WA recently underwent a successful NCA3800 audit conducted by ASME in response to an application submitted last year for accreditation as an approved materials organization for the manufacture and supply of nuclear controlled casting components. Tacoma’s certificate (QSC-204) will now list Chehalis (QSC-204-1) as an approved site of manufacture. The Chehalis focus will be specialty alloys and small complex parts in the size range of 50 to 1,000 pounds with minimum heat size of only 500lbs.
[12.08.09] - Bradken’s Amite Facility Achieves ABS Certification
Bradken®, a leading global supplier of differentiated consumable and capital products, is pleased to announce that its Amite, LA, USA facility, part of the Engineered Products Division, has achieved ABS certification to produce steel castings for marine applications. This certification qualifies the Amite facility to produce machined steel castings (Wildcat and Anchor Windlass Components) in carbon and low alloy steels to 25,000 kg (55,000 lbs) in accordance with ASTM A27, A216, A915, A958, A148 and A487.
